I have begun adding the first photos available of Paula Patton at her first Oscars! Keep returning for more as it becomes available!

Paula is wearing a Carolina Herrera gown and carrying a Judith Leiber clutch. Of her dress, she said, “It just fits and works. We made sure to find something that would accomodate the fit,” she told USA Today‘s Andrea Mandell, as she rubbed her belly.

When asked what Thicke first said to his wife when she first saw her dressed up, he recounted: “Honestly, I think you look beautiful, you look perfect. You’re the hottest baby mama around.” Of her future baby she said “I will stare at him all day long.

The proud parents-to-be spoke also to Extra – Robin shared that he sings, “I love you, baby…” to their child!

The 25th Annual Film Independent Spirit Awards were held last night in Los Angeles at the LA Live theater, and Lee Daniel’s Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire was the big winner with five awards. It won for Best Feature, Daniels took home Best Director, Gabourey Sidibe and Mo’Nique each received acting awards, and Geoffrey Fletcher received an award for Best First Screenplay.

Paula didn’t attend the awards, but she did go to a new event two days ago. I will be adding pictures tomorrow, I’ve been unable to update since I saw them.

Last Friday, our Paula and her precious baby pump (like how I threw that in  ) attended the 41st Annual NAACP Image Awards with her Precious cast mates. Paula, who is due to give birth in May wore a beautiful strapless gold dress (foreshadowing Oscar gold perhaps?) and while she didn’t walk any red carpet, did present on stage and there are some images of her backstage and post win in the press room.

Precious sweeped, winning a total of six NAACP Image Awards including best picture, director, screenplay, lead (Gabourey Sidibe) and supporting (Mo’Nique) actress. The film contends in all those categories at next Sunday’s Oscars. Congrats!

The L.A. Times Blog posted news recently about Ms. Patton and it was just lovely.

The Oscar buzz continues to mount for Lee Daniels’ “Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire,” as both the film and one of its stars, Paula Patton, took top honors at the 31st Aspen Filmfest, which ran from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4. “Precious” was named Audience Favorite Feature, while Patton, who attended the fest with her husband, singer Robin Thicke, won Artist to Watch.

Other Aspen winners included director Jason Reitman, who earned the New Directions Award for “Up in the Air,” itself a major contender for the 2010 Oscars, who introduced his father, producer-director Ivan Reitman, before an on-stage chat moderated by Times contributor Mark Olsen. Veteran actor-director Stanley Tucci received the Independent by Nature award and was feted by his “Lovely Bones” director Peter Jackson via video. Greg Barker’s “Sergio,” about the convoluted life of U.N. diplomat Sergio Viera de Mello, was named Audience Favorite Documentary.

“Precious” opens in limited release on Nov. 6, while “Air” is slated for Dec. 25. [Source]
