I just wanted to make a quick note to say the site isn’t abandoned, While Paula hasn’t been out since my last update I have been extremely busy and unable to make any other updates, if anything new on Paula comes up I’ll be sure to post about it.

The site has originally meant to just serve as a small Paula Patton tribute but I have been feeling like I want to expand the site, so later this summer I will expand this website into a larger tribute with more info, media, photos etc and move to it’s own domain. I’m to busy to do this right now, so for now please enjoy the site as is and have this to look forward to ;)

Paula and her main man attended the Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art last night. She looked absolutely stunning. I have yet to discover the designer of her gown so if you know an e-mail would be appreciated. I also added some photos from two events this month I had yet to add.

Paula Patton and husband Robin Thicke are both featured in People’s most beautiful people in the world list 2007. To my knowledge this is her very first appearance! Thanks to Qua for the heads up.

Edit: A gorgeous scan is now available. Thanks once again to Qua.

In the article it mentions that Paula and Robin have been together for an amazing 14 years and married for 2! And that she is 31, which was unknown until now. It’s very brief but very cute and worth the read! biggrin

Coming to dvd tomorrow April 23 is Deja Vu. Here is a DVD review which might make you intrigured to give it a rent. I know I will.

From About Hollywood Movies

The Bottom Line
Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington and director Tony Scott team up for the third time with Deja Vu, an intense sci-fi/thriller also starring Val Kilmer, Paula Patton and Adam Goldberg. Featuring one of the most unusual car chase sequences on film, Deja Vu is an incredibly entertaining thrill ride with a couple of interesting twists.

Pros
- A truly intriguing story
- Great acting and great action sequences
- Decent collection of bonus features

Cons
- None worth noting

Features
- ‘The Surveillance Window’ – Behind-the-scenes featurettes on the ferry explosion, filming in New Orleans, and more
- 5 deleted scenes with optional commentary by director Tony Scott
- 3 extended scenes with optional commentary

Bonus Features: Review
I’m really impressed by the ‘Surveillance Window’ feature on the Deja Vu DVD. Set the Surveillance Window feature to on and then start the film (the commentary track with director Tony Scott, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and writer Bill Marsilii will begin). As specific scenes (including the ferry explosion and split-time car chase) take place, behind-the-scenes featurettes will give viewers an in-depth look at different aspects of the production.

Great news – Another new film! Paula Patton will star as a female pimp in This Wednesday with her husband, chart-topping R&B artist Robin Thicke, in negotiations to write his first film score for the urban drama.

In the movie, inspired by the true story of a female pimp in Atlanta, Patton will play the title role of Wednesday, the “trick baby” of a pimp father and hooker mother. With her best friend’s support, she struggles to survive on the harsh streets of Philadelphia. Christine Crokos wrote and will direct the movie, an expanded version of her 2001 short Heroine Helen about the same character. Shooting is expected to begin late this year in Philadelphia.

Fantastic News! Paula has finally signed on to a new project, she will star opposite Kiefer Sutherland in Regency’s remake of Mirrors, which Alexandre Aja is directing (The Hills Have Eyes, High Tension), according to the Hollywood Reporter and Bloody-Disgusting.com. Aja, his producing partner Gregory Levasseur, Marc Sternberg and Alexandra Milchan are producing. 20th Century Fox will distribute.

The story centers on a cop-turned-department store security guard who discovers that there is something evil living inside the store’s old mirrors. He traces haunted occurrences back to the building being a hospital and a schizophrenic patient’s evil spirit trapped in a mirrored room. Patton will play Sutherland’s soon-to-be ex-wife, a coroner with the New York Medical Examiner’s Office.
