A couple of days ago I added all the pictures from Paula at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival I could find, and also made screencaps from the Precious trailer. Don’t miss all the new additions here. |

It’s very likely many have seen at least one 2009 best picture nominee, or maybe even the winner. And now that Cannes is only a memory, it’s time to shuffle through the possibilities before the onslaught of Venice, Telluride and Toronto speculation. But it’s Lee Daniels’ Precious that might be the best positioned of all. The film roared out of Sundance with intense acclaim and major awards, only to be met with a slot in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard lineup, and a huge distribution deal with Lionsgate that involves Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey. Winfrey, it should be remembered, was credited with playing a little role in Crash‘s success at the Oscars – a film also released by Lionsgate. At this point, the film’s screenplay and Mo’Nique’s performance seem like givens, but perhaps it could push even further? It’s set for an early November release, following a similar strategy to what Slumdog used last year. It’s bound to be a crowd pleaser, and find some serious love from critics. If it manages to get a best picture nod, it would be the first film in history directed by an African-American to be nominated for best picture. And he’s openly gay to boot. Calling Precious a frontrunner for this kind of success seems extremely premature, but when factoring everything into its future, one can’t help but ponder the possibilities. Source: IndieWire |

It’s finally here and only one word, wow. Paula simply looks amazing as does the rest of this star-studded cast. I’m seriously hoping for some huge nominations in the coming year for this film. The title was changed a couple of months ago – if you didn’t know there was another movie out called Push… I’m thinking this might have been due to confusion on a number of people. So please, take a moment and just watch. |

Sorry for my late post, I was finally able to reaccess IPP – for some insane reason I’m sometimes locked from the site. At the start of April I added photos of Paula from Oprah Winfrey’s website who enlisted the help of the stunning actress to pose in what is called, Oprah Approved Summer Trends | A New Way To Shine. She modeled an array of fabrics from metalics to tweed and sometimes both with exquisitely beautiful colors. So if you have yet to check them out, please do so right away! |

Soooo sorry to all of you, I was not able to access the site for awhile now but I just was able to get on the main site and into the WP so I could make this post. Ms. Paula recently attended a new event and I am working on gathering the photos, uploading and making a post! So watch out! |

I wanted to let all of our loyal visitors know that this site will likely not be updated a whole lot until the end of April from me. I am going to be traveling and my internet access will be very minimal. But I will try and update the site as much as I can, if possible. Also this regards e-mail replies and comments approval. If the hiatus will last longer than a month, I will be sure to update on it again. But rest assured, I will update as soon as I can and if something big breaks while I’m gone I’m sure Qua will keep you updated! Meanwhile, check out here for the latest news and here for the newest images. |
